Reading  = This week we will look at inferencing with poetry.  The text we will be looking at is entitled My Man Blue and it contains a collection of poetry.  We will follow the two main characters throughout the poems and infer their feelings and emotions.

Writing = Our drafts of our imagined narratives are going strong.  This week we will be revising, editing, and collaborating with peers in our classroom to improve our writing pieces before we publish together.

Math = This week we will be reviewing all the concepts we have uncovered in Chapter 8:Fractions.  We have looked at fractions in general, finding equivalent fractions, simplest form, mixed numbers, and improper fractions.  Our test is scheduled for Wednesday of this week.

Spelling = Team Meyer will receive new words on Monday.  We will work with these words throughout the week and Test on Friday.  

Social Studies= Last week, we began to look at Missouri Government.  We started with the 3 branches: legislative, executive, and judicial branches.  This week we will look at the amendments and the roles we play within voting.
